2026 Transformer Project

Description: The Green Island Power Authority (GIPA) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified manufacturers for the 2026 Transformer Project, which involves the design, manufacture, assembly, factory testing, and delivery of 34,500 Volt, 7,500 kVA power transformers to the GIPA Main Substation at 50 Cohoes Avenue in Green Island, NY. Manufacturers must demonstrate at least ten years of experience in producing transformers of the specified type, size, and capacity, must comply with OSHA and NYS Labor Law prevailing rate requirements, and must provide a 60-month warranty from energization. Sealed proposals marked 'BID ENCLOSED' must be received by 11:00 AM Eastern on Monday, August 31, 2026 by Chairperson Ellen M.
