Supply and delivery of power transformers.
Description: The Green Island Power Authority (GIPA) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified manufacturers for the 2026 Transformer Project, which involves the design, manufacture, assembly, factory testing, and delivery of 34,500 Volt, 7,500 kVA power transformers to the GIPA Main Substation at 50 Cohoes Avenue in Green Island, NY. Manufacturers must demonstrate at least ten years of experience in producing transformers of the specified type, size, and capacity, must comply with OSHA and NYS Labor Law prevailing rate requirements, and must provide a 60-month warranty from energization. The Southeast Alaska Power Agency (SEAPA) is soliciting proposals from qualified suppliers for the design, fabrication, shop testing, shipment, and delivery of one 115/34.5kV, 3-phase, 20/25 MVA oil-immersed Power Transformer to be delivered DDP to SEAPA's Ketchikan Substation site at 6500 North Tongass Highway, Ketchikan, Alaska, with delivery requested by June 2028. The procurement is funded in part by a U.S. Department of Energy Grid Resilience Formula Grant under Section 40101(d) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), administered by the Alaska Energy Authority, and is subject to Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) domestic-content requirements. Proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. AKDT on September 15, 2026.
