Ketchikan Substation Transformer Procurement Project
The Southeast Alaska Power Agency (SEAPA) is soliciting proposals from qualified suppliers for the design, fabrication, shop testing, shipment, and delivery of one 115/34.5kV, 3-phase, 20/25 MVA oil-immersed Power Transformer to be delivered DDP to SEAPA's Ketchikan Substation site at 6500 North Tongass Highway, Ketchikan, Alaska, with delivery requested by June 2028. The procurement is funded in part by a U.S. Department of Energy Grid Resilience Formula Grant under Section 40101(d) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), administered by the Alaska Energy Authority, and is subject to Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) domestic-content requirements. Proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. AKDT on September 15, 2026.
