The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision required to execute a complete sidewalk removal and replacement project covering an estimated 1,200 square feet. The work entails sawcutting, breaking up, and legally disposing of all existing failing or cracked concrete off-site, followed by excavating, grading, and compacting the underlying subgrade to eliminate soft spots or root intrusions. Rigid metal or wooden forms must be set to proper grade and line with a minimum 1/4-inch per foot cross-slope for positive drainage over a minimum 4-inch compacted gravel or crushed stone base. The contractor will pour concrete with a minimum compressive strength of 4,000 PSI utilizing wire or fiber mesh reinforcement, apply a uniform non-slip medium broom finish with edged joints, and construct seamless, flush transitions to all adjoining walkways and entryways.
