Upper Skagit Indian Tribe
Extend an underground broadband conduit network from an existing network in the Northern State Recreation Area and install a new underground conduit network with vaults. Work includes: Demolish and replace existing pavements, underground boring near critical areas, install rigid conduit under existing bridge, install panels and splice cases and splitter terminals, fiber-wiring conduits, fusion splicing, surface restorations, connect and terminate systems at existing home sites and light poles, temporary traffic control, protect critical areas, erosion control, and record drawings. This contract provides improvements within various residential housing neighborhoods. The contract shall be managed under the four (4) work segments together comprising the work of the contract and separated to track individual pots of money used to fund the contract. Segment 1 - Middle-Mile Broadband. This segment's work includes extending an underground broadband conduit network from a similar existing network within the Northern State Recreation Area to the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe's Helmick Road Reservation. Work includes installing 2" HDPE communication conduit, fiber optic vaults and handholes 2" HDPE underground horizontal directional boring conduit installations, installing rigid metal conduit on the exterior of the Helmick Road Red Creek concrete bridge rail, installing panels and splice cases, installing fiber optic cable within new and existing conduits, fusion splicing, tracer wire installation on new conduit, surface restorations, temporary traffic control, protecting critical areas, erosion control best management practices, and record drawings. This Middle-Mile Broadband fiber optic cable with connect to the FTTH cabling described in Segment 4. Segment 2: Government Fiber and Re-Fusing. This segment's work includes installing an underground conduit network extension with fiber optic vaults and handholes, installing fiber and fiber drops within this new and the pre-existing conduit network. Work includes installing and connecting and terminating these government fiber systems at light poles and a Tribal building with sufficient fiber storage to support existing and future fiber optic connections to light pole mounted cameras and an internet connection within the Tribal Building. Installing transition conduit to and junction boxes on the existing light poles. Work also includes panels, splice cases, and splitter terminals, fusion splicing, tracer wire installation on new conduit, surface restorations, temporary traffic control, protecting critical areas, erosion control best management practices. The re-fusing work includes re-fusing all existing government fiber connections within the Reservation. Segment 3 - Last-Mile Broadbank Conduit Extension: This segment's work includes demolishing and replacing existing site features (concrete sidewalk, asphalt pavement, and gravel shoulders), installing new underground broadbank HDPE conduits, fiber optic vaults and handholes, tracer wire on new conduits and connecting and terminating these conduits at existing residential sites. Work also includes surface restorations, temporary traffic control. Segment 4: Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH). This segment's work includes installing an underground broadband fiber network within the last mile broadband conduit network. Work includes installing new fiber optic conduit and vaults/handholes installing fiber optic cable in new and existing conduits and vaults/handholes, installing splice cases, splitter terminals and drops, fusion splicing, surface restorations, tracer wire on new conduits temporary traffic control.
