The U.S. Department of War (formerly Department of Defense), specifically the U.S. Space Force, is soliciting proposals for AI/ML technologies to advance the next generation of missile detection, warning, tracking, and reporting capabilities through the DoW SBIR 2026 BAA (Release 3, BZ03 cohort). The topic addresses a critical need within the Space Force's Missile Warning, Tracking, and Response mission by leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve operational performance. This is a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract feasibility study — a contract opportunity, not a grant program — with proposals open from July 22, 2026 through August 19, 2026.
