The Starboard Main Engine suffered a casualty damaging a crankshaft main journal, while the Port Main Engine, both marine transmissions, and both Ships Service Generators are also due for overhaul. The contractor must procure new DDC certified parts, perform the overhaul work, and transport the engines to a Government Shipyard for reinstallation at the Place of Performance in Jersey City, NJ (ZIP 07305), with a project duration of approximately 9 months.
