This requisition solicits proposals to remove existing damaged barge mooring dolphin piles and install new mooring dolphin piles in the coal barge fleet mooring area of garrows bend as specified in the attached drawings and scope of work. All work shall be in accordance with the requirements stated herein, scope of work specifications, drawings and reference documents, insurance requirements and applicable state and federal laws. The project site is the barge mooring area in garrows bend, near the port authority’s mcduffie terminal. The work consists principally of providing bonds, labor, materials, equipment, insurance, and supervision necessary to remove damaged barge mooring dolphin piles, furnish and install new mooring dolphin piles, and dispose of all removed materials associated with the work. The project includes but is not limited to: removing existing damaged dolphin piles at locations shown on the plans, furnishing and installing new 42” dolphin piles with mooring bit per the attached drawings, and disposal of all removed piles. All materials, labor, tools, rigging and equipment necessary to perform the work shall be included by the contractor in the proposal. It is the contractor’s responsibility to field verify all dimensions and site conditions essential for the successful completion of the work. The contractor shall not be entitled to any additional compensation for any work or expense resulting from the neglect of verifying all existing site conditions.
