The board conducted a public budget hearing regarding the proposed 2026-2027 fiscal budget. A presentation on the budget proposal was provided, followed by a public comment session where inquiries were raised concerning the administration budget, electric bus acquisitions, and recent media coverage.

The board convened for a budget information session to review and present the 2026-2027 fiscal year budget proposal.

The meeting included special topics covering guidance document updates and a strategic planning update, followed by reports from the Principals and the Superintendent. Consent agenda items included approval of financial warrants and claims, treasurer reports, CSE recommendations, surplus declaration, summer staff appointments, and a snow day give-back day. Regular agenda items featured the approval of a transportation request for the Adirondack Railway Preservation Society, the appointment of a teacher for elementary education, and the adoption of new curricula for Classic Film, AP Business and Personal Finance, and Journalism. Additionally, the Board authorized participation in an intermunicipal arrangement for Data Privacy Agreements through the RIC ONE Risk Operations Center to ensure compliance with data security laws.

The Board of Education meeting included presentations on the Special Education Department, a property tax report card, and code of conduct survey results. Administrative reports highlighted various student achievements, sports recognition, and upcoming strategic planning. The Board approved the 2026-2027 administrative budget for BOCES, authorized an agreement for administrative tax processing services, and confirmed the property tax report card. Additionally, the Board certified the Superintendent as a qualified lead evaluator, handled various personnel actions including resignations and appointments, approved course credit requests, and accepted a grant from the Adirondack Community Foundation. An executive session was held to discuss personnel and student-related matters.

The Board of Education reviewed and accepted the Treasurer's monthly reports for the various school district funds, including the General Fund, School Lunch Fund, Capital Fund, Trust and Agency Fund, and Special Aid Fund. The reports detailed financial transactions, receipts, disbursements, bank reconciliations, and the appropriation status for the fiscal year.
