The committee meeting focused on conducting an annual needs assessment for multilingual learners, including group reviews of student data and identifying program priorities. The committee reviewed and accepted the 2024-25 Prop 39/AA Audit Report, which had no findings or recommendations. An update on the Facility Master Plan was provided, covering the assessment of facility conditions, enrollment projections, and stakeholder engagement. The Project and Budget report was presented, and members were reminded of the requirement to file Conflict of Interest Form 700. Additionally, the committee initiated the process for the ICOC Annual Report to align with the fiscal year, established an annual report sub-committee, and rescheduled a future meeting date.

The board meeting addressed several key agenda items, including public comment on closed session topics, the release and reassignment of administrative staff, and the appointment of a new principal for San Diego Academy. The meeting also featured a presentation on visual and performing arts education, highlighting curriculum goals, student engagement numbers, the impact of Prop 28 funding on arts resources, and recent facilities improvements at Crest Hall and the Blackbox Theater.
