Old Bridge Township Public Schools

This document outlines the Local Education Agency's (LEA) plan for utilizing American Rescue Plan (ARP) ESSER funds. The plan focuses on implementing prevention and mitigation strategies for safe school operations, addressing the academic impact of lost instructional time through targeted, evidence-based interventions like after-school and summer programs, and expanding social-emotional learning frameworks and technology access. It also includes comprehensive professional development for staff and a commitment to responding to the academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs of all students, particularly those disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, supported by ongoing stakeholder consultation and program evaluation.

The board addressed several administrative and operational matters, including budget account transfers, out-of-district placements, and transportation requests. Various staff leave requests were reviewed and approved. Additionally, the board considered 6th-period class assignments and tutoring compensation packages for multiple schools. A 2024 committee membership list was also established.

The committee meeting addressed the proposal for an in-house AAC evaluation team to improve assessment quality and efficiency. It featured a review of Inclusive Schools Week activities across multiple schools and provided an update on the My Reading Academy and My Math Academy pilot programs. Additional resolutions included the designation of the Public Agency Compliance Officer, the appointment of the School Business Administrator as the Qualified Purchasing Agent, the acknowledgment of the Code of Ethics, and the approval of the annual schedule of board meetings for the upcoming calendar year.
