The Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and any other items or services necessary to perform radiological services for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in accordance with Sections B-H. Services shall be performed at the contractor’s facility. Radiological services ordered under this contract may include one or more of the following processes: 1. Scanning: 225 Kilovolt (kV) Microfocus Setup, Computed Tomography (CT), and Direct Radiography (DR) Imaging. 2. Scanning: 450 kV MiniFocus Setup, CT, and DR Imaging. 3. Scanning: 1 Megavolt (MV), 3 MV Linear Detector Array Slices, Setup, CT, and DR Imaging. 4. Scanning: 6 MV, 9 MV Setup, CT, and DR Imaging. 5. Scanning: 6 MV Microbeam Setup, CT, and DR Imaging. 6. Post Processing & Review.

The membership provides NTSB opportunities to maintain and strengthen links between the NTSB and the transportation research community through: The work of TRB’s standing technical committees and task forces addressing all modes and aspects of transportation. TRB publications and dissemination of reports and peer-reviewed technical papers on research findings. TRB conduct of special studies on transportation research issues at NTSB’s request. Operation of an on-line computerized file of transportation research information. Participation in TRB’s annual meeting.

Services shall be provided within the Task Areas described below: 1. Task Area 1 - Document the as-received condition of the pipe pieces: a. In preparation for photodocumentation, make sure that the top dead center (TDC) and flow direction of the gas are clearly marked and visible. The upstream/downstream order is implied by the sectioning numbering system at the cut ends of the pipe. If needed, re-trace the markings with a marker to make them visible in the photographs. b. Document the as-received condition of the pipe pieces. c. Digital camera images of the side view of the pipe pieces at 90° intervals from TDC. d. Note any shipping damage or issues with details of damage type and location, use close digital photographs if appropriate. See attached file.
