Providing Professional Services Newark Safe Routes for all Corridors Safety Action Plan and Demonstration Project City. Qualified consulting firms to provide professional planning, engineering, public engagement, and related services for the development of a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan and Demonstration Project under the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Program. The project will support the City of Newarkts efforts to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries through a data-driven, equitable, and community-focused transportation safety program. Services may include, but are not limited to: Development of a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan; Crash and safety data collection and analysis; Identification of High Injury Networks and priority safety corridors; Vision Zero and Safe System Approach assessments; Public engagement and stakeholder outreach; Equity and underserved community analysis; Identification and prioritization of multimodal safety improvements; Conceptual and preliminary engineering analyses; Development, design, implementation, and evaluation of demonstration projects and quick-build safety improvements; Performance measures, implementation strategies, and funding recommendations; Preparation of grant-related documentation, reporting, and coordination with federal and state agencies. The City seeks a consultant team with demonstrated experience preparing USDOT Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plans, Vision Zero initiatives, High Injury Network analyses, roadway safety audits, systemic safety studies, multimodal transportation plans, bicycle and pedestrian safety programs, public engagement initiatives, and implementation of demonstration or quick-build safety projects in urban environments.
