The Board of Trustees discussed and approved the renewal of the Edgenuity online curriculum platform for alternative education programs for the 2025-26 school year. The Board approved the participation of 4th and 5th-grade teachers in the KATE literacy intervention research study, which is funded by a U.S. Department of Education grant. Participating teachers will receive a stipend from WestED, and the district will cover the costs associated with two pre-service training days. This Facilities Master Plan documents the district's facility needs and serves as a roadmap for decision-making regarding improvements across all campus sites. The plan aims to reinforce the District's vision and mission by enhancing educational quality through facility revitalization, aligning with LCAP goals. It outlines site-specific recommendations for modernization, new construction, portable building removal, site improvements, security, safety, and infrastructure for various elementary, junior high, and education center campuses. The plan details specific needs and proposed solutions for each site, including addressing aging infrastructure, safety concerns, and creating optimal learning environments.
