The Maud Public Schools ARP ESSER III Plan outlines strategies for preventing and mitigating COVID-19, addressing learning loss, and managing other expenditures. COVID-19 mitigation strategies include providing Chromebooks, renovating hallways, repairing HVAC systems, replacing carpet and windows, updating teacher devices, installing touchless faucets, and adding playground equipment. Addressing learning loss involves hiring social/emotional learning teachers and intervention specialists, and utilizing programs like IXL and Renaissance. Remaining funds will be used for cleaning supplies and equipment, and maintaining services. The plan also details how the school will address the needs of vulnerable populations (low-income families, students of color, English learners, students with disabilities, homeless students, students in foster care, and migratory students) by providing additional academic, social, emotional, and mental health support.
