Marion Military Institute

The Marion Military Institute (MMI) Alumni Brigade Strategic Plan (2018-2023) focuses on increasing alumni engagement, supporting MMI recruiting and branding, and supporting MMI resourcing. Key initiatives include expanding the Alumni Brigade membership, improving communication between alumni and MMI, establishing regional alumni gatherings, building a professional network, creating an MMI Ambassadors Program, expanding welcome events for new recruits, promoting the MMI and Alumni Brigade brand, assisting the MMI Foundation Board's legislative efforts, adopting a capital project for fundraising, and implementing an additional annual fundraiser. Success will be measured by increased inspiration and pride, participation, engagement, volunteerism, advocacy, ambassadorship, and giving.

The meeting covered various reports, including the President's report on regional and campus events, membership updates, and new initiatives such as a Birmingham mentorship luncheon and reunions for baseball/softball and football teams. The Treasurer's report detailed the financial position for 2018, including income, expenses, and asset values. The Executive Director's report highlighted the Alumni Connect app and upcoming events. The Membership Committee reported on the class agents program. Discussions included potential projects for Brigade investment, such as a sidewalk project and chapel pew dedication, with a decision made to fund the sidewalk project. A Board Resolution establishing a Restricted Investment Account was also presented and approved.
