Provide school internal wiring upgrade from a qualified contractor(s). The Lake Washington School District is soliciting bids to re-wire part of its network infrastructure at three of its school sites. There is a congruent project underway to replace network switches. The wiring upgrades in this proposal will be necessary in order to better facilitate modern networking speeds and move from a distributed in-classroom switch model to a best-practice MDF/IDF model. Additional wiring will also be needed on an ad-hoc basis when network switch installations and upgrades uncover wiring deficiencies (ethernet of fiber). Contractor(s) will Design, and install ethernet and fiber optic cabling from wall jack to patch panel in the MDF/IDF, or from MDF to IDF and label cables and jacks to existing District standards. Contractor will test and record cable runs. The contractor crew may be required to move furniture to reach wall spaced behind desks, cabinets or bookshelves.
