The meeting commenced with the call to order and a review of the mission and vision statements. A significant portion of the meeting involved student presentations highlighting achievements in innovation and leadership from Harris County Carver Middle School, specifically featuring the Acts of Kindness Club, the Green Power STEM program where students build and race electric go-karts, and the Junior Beta Club, which was recognized as an outstanding leadership school.
