Procurement guidance and navigation tips.
Lower scores indicate easier procurement processes. Created by Starbridge.
Sole Source: If sale is less than ~$90,000 (NC state bidding threshold for goods), sole source remains not viable; skip under current policies.
Coops: Ask whether they will consider NC Statewide Term Contracts, NCDIT statewide IT contracts, OMNIA Partners, or Sourcewell to streamline procurement. If a cooperative path is not accepted or eligible, go straight to a direct competitive bid; ensure your vendor record is active in NC eVP.
Granville County, NC: No evidence of sole source awards; county policies are rigid—skip this path. Redirect efforts to validating the cooperative channel as the primary alternative to a formal competitive bid.
