This Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan outlines the Encinitas Union Elementary School District's strategies for the 2020-2021 school year to ensure educational continuity and address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Key areas of focus include engaging students through purpose, passion, power, and play, with support from four pillars: academic excellence, 21st-century learning, health and wellness, and environmental stewardship. The plan details provisions for in-person and distance learning, stakeholder engagement, technology access, pupil assessment and progress monitoring, professional development, revised staff roles, and targeted interventions for students with unique needs and those experiencing learning loss.

The Board of Trustees held three special meetings primarily focused on conducting school site visits. During these sessions, the Board and the Superintendent visited multiple elementary schools within the district to observe facilities and operations. Additionally, the meetings included time for general Board and Superintendent communications.

The committee reviewed the 2015-2016 Proposition P audit, which resulted in no findings or recommendations. Additionally, the committee discussed Proposition P expenditures to date, upcoming project plans, and the preparation of the annual report to the Board of Trustees detailing committee responsibilities and expenditures for the 2016-2017 school year.

The meeting was held to review, gather input, and revise the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). Administrators presented the priorities addressed in the district's plan to the community, and translation services were provided to facilitate input.
