The City Council unanimously adopted a resolution in support of the Paris Climate Accord, reinforcing the city's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing climate change resilience. By adopting this resolution, the city joined a coalition of more than 1,000 local and state elected officials to support the international agreement.

The team discussed various agenda items across multiple future meetings, including concerns regarding a consent item for the Daughters of the American Revolution to plant a Liberty Tree, the necessity of agreements for volunteer fire department grants, and the logistical challenges of balancing long meeting agendas. Additionally, they reviewed the six-month planning calendar, addressed the impact of election code updates on scheduling, and planned for the review of future parking lot items.

The meeting included a series of proclamations recognizing various community events, anniversaries, and awareness months. The council approved several consent agenda items, including the designation of an Acting City Attorney, easement authorizations, amendments to master fees for community planning and development, and resolutions regarding municipal refuse collection, tax-exempt obligations, and capital improvements.
