BoardRockville Bicycle Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes
The committee discussed several city infrastructure updates, including completed intersection audits, completion of the Rollins Avenue Complete Streets Study, and progress on various bike lane and pedestrian path projects. Members reviewed plans for the Yale Place connection and discussed shared-use path signage. There was a presentation and discussion regarding advocating for Safety Yield legislation in Maryland, which allows cyclists to treat stop signs as yield signs. Additional agenda items included planning for the Senior Wellness Day, organization of upcoming 2026 bike rides, an update on police reports concerning pedestrian and cyclist crashes, and planning for the Family Bike Festival and an August social event.
