The Streets for People: Sacramento's Active Transportation Plan outlines a vision for a safer, more connected, and comfortable active transportation network. It prioritizes enhancing access, ensuring equitable investment, improving maintenance, increasing transportation safety, and promoting sustainability. The plan provides strategies and recommendations to serve all ages, abilities, and communities, aiming to establish Sacramento as a city where active transportation is a viable and preferred choice.

The Director Hearing covered several land use and development applications. A tentative map application for 3901 Y Street was continued to a later date. Similarly, the Villarreal tentative map and duplex project for 1723 V Street was continued to a future hearing. The proposal for an 1825 Diesel Drive cannabis cultivation facility, including a conditional use permit and site plan review, was approved subject to conditions. Finally, the Boulevard 15 residential subdivision project on Del Paso Boulevard was also approved subject to conditions of approval and findings of fact.

The Director Hearing involved the review and approval of several development and planning projects. Key agenda items included the approval of the Cabana Townhomes project, the Central Shops Historic District Plan and boundary amendments, and a conditional use permit for the 1143 Blumenfeld Cannabis Production facility. Additionally, the hearing addressed subdivision and design reviews for residential projects at 3024 6th Ave and 2832 34th St.

The meeting agenda included updates on CUP and BOP, the CORE program, delivery services with a cap in D6 Southern, industrial area requirements, non-operational permits, and distribution. Additionally, it covered provisional state licenses and revisions to proposed state regulations.

The meeting focused on discussing ordinance updates for cannabis cultivation, including conditional use permits and operating permits. Staff reviewed the proposed bi-annual permit process, community benefits plans, and specific requirements for cultivation, delivery, manufacturing, and testing laboratories. Extensive questions from stakeholders were addressed regarding zoning, permit application processes, operational costs, and the regulatory framework for existing and future cannabis businesses.
