BoardTown Of Wilmington Recreation Commission Minutes Of The Meeting
The Recreation Commission reviewed the monthly director's report and discussed upcoming trips, including Boothbay Harbor, the Tall Ships celebration, Foxwoods, and a Boston Harbor Bingo Cruise. Staffing updates for summer part-time employees were provided for lifeguard and playground programs. The commission discussed the recent annual Fishing Derby, upcoming Police Beach Day, and the summer concert series. Further discussions covered the potential use of the old Senior Center, the acceptance of a grant for a floating beach chair, and the use of the newly purchased Sciarappa Farm for recreational purposes to mitigate the loss of fields at the North Intermediate school. Feedback was also shared regarding a recent trip to South Dakota.
