The committee discussed the city's position on several Senate Bills (SB) and an act. These included SB 707 regarding open meeting and teleconference requirements, SB 16 concerning homeless housing and prevention programs, SB 634 on homelessness and penalties, SB 38 about the Second Chance Program, SB 456 related to contractors and muralists, SB 789 regarding taxation and vacant commercial real property, and S. 1323, the FIREWALL Act. Additionally, they discussed the next steps for the Chino Hills State Park audit and legislative advocacy trips to Sacramento. Updates on the legislative calendar, state budget, and federal earmark and reconciliation package were presented by Townsend Public Affairs.

The Parks and Recreation Commission meeting agenda includes the approval of meeting minutes, the Teen Advisory Board Strategic Action Plan, and the appointment of commissioners to the Teen Advisory Board Ad Hoc Committee. The proposed design for the Crossroads Park Inclusive Playground Project will also be reviewed. Staff will present updates on the Community Services monthly calendar and ongoing community services and parks projects.
