Procurement guidance and navigation tips.
Lower scores indicate easier procurement processes. Created by Starbridge.
Sole Source: Do not pursue; emergency-only exceptions exist but aren’t viable for routine purchases.
Coops: Lead with Sourcewell. Confirm your product is on a Sourcewell contract; coordinate with CFO Christopher T. Lightle (912-748-7261, finance@pooler-ga.gov) to confirm internal steps; build a department-head champion. If co-op is blocked: Monitor the Georgia Procurement Registry and prepare for a formal RFP with insurance/bonding requirements.
Entity: City of Pooler, GA.
There is no evidence of a standard sole source pathway in practice. The city allows emergency procurements for public safety threats, but this is not a channel for routine purchases. Practical note: Deprioritize sole source and redirect effort to a cooperative contract.
