City of Lake Elsinore

The Climate Resiliency Vulnerability Assessment for the City of Lake Elsinore assesses the city's vulnerability to climate change-related risks and hazards. It identifies key climate change hazards, including drought, extreme heat, flooding, landslides, severe weather, and wildfire, and evaluates their potential impacts on populations and assets. The assessment also examines the adaptive capacity of the city and identifies priority vulnerabilities based on systematic scoring to inform the update of the Safety Element and enhance community resilience.

The General Plan Update for the City of Lake Elsinore focuses on guiding principles that reflect the vision for the city's future. It aims to facilitate a healthy and diverse economy, encourage attractive neighborhood villages, maintain and increase high-quality open and recreational spaces, foster healthy communities with access to essential services, enhance the environmental health and economic vitality of the Lake, recognize Downtown as its historic core, and offer attractive, convenient transportation options.

The Dream Extreme 2040 Plan is the City of Lake Elsinore's first long-term strategic plan. It serves as a living document to guide decision-making for the next 20 years. The plan identifies key anchors (the lake, vibrant downtown, and capacity for action/adventure), aspirations (becoming a destination for action sports, growing a thriving city, fostering natural resources, and achieving innovative governance), and strategies to achieve these aspirations. The overall vision is for Lake Elsinore to be the ultimate destination where all can live, work, play, build futures, and fulfill dreams.
