The Board of Education discussed and approved the hiring of a new Director of Education. The motion to hire the recommended candidate, Chad Holinaty, was carried, with an effective start date set for August 1, 2026, pending final contract negotiations.

This action plan outlines a strategic direction for students and staff to grow in their faith by deepening their relationship with Christ and following His example of loving and serving others. Key focus areas include fostering Christ-centred learning communities, developing an annual faith focus with resources, supporting comprehensive student and staff faith formation, designing and implementing community-based social justice initiatives, and encouraging spiritual guidance through parish priests. The plan targets an outcome by 2030, where all students and staff will have achieved this growth in faith.

This Level 2 Action Plan aims to improve student outcomes through effective assessment practices and responsive instruction. The plan outlines priorities such as implementing provincial assessment plans for ELA and Math, establishing baseline data, and utilizing common screeners. It further focuses on identifying and supporting responsive teaching strategies through research and professional development, and aligning professional learning with the assessment cycle to enhance student learning and assessment capabilities across the division.

The action plan focuses on actualizing the vision and goals of the Inspiring Success: Prek-12 First Nations and Métis Education Policy Framework. Its core strategic pillars include supporting Indigenous student success through professional learning and an inclusive workforce, fostering partnerships for Indigenous education, and enhancing curriculum resources, land-based learning, and Indigenous language opportunities. The plan aims to achieve Indigenous student growth and development by continuously monitoring progress through the Indigenous Education Responsibility Framework.

This action plan aims to enrich and enhance the mental health and well-being capacity of students, ensuring a positive sense of belonging and safety. Key priorities include fostering a shared understanding of mental health concepts through professional development and resource sharing; collaborating with local health providers to improve accessibility to services and build capacity; promoting relevant Indigenous mental health programs; utilizing self-assessment tools to review plans and progress; and implementing best practices for school safety, including de-escalation training and trauma response protocols.
