The council meeting included discussions with the RCMP regarding drug enforcement and Bill C-5, as well as updates on a visit from the Minister of Housing and support for a family with custody issues. Updates were provided on the MLA's food bank project and medical travel challenges, including limitations at Norman Wells Airport. Edwin Erutse presented an update on the winter road to Invik, including a signed MOU with AMC. The council also discussed amending the bereavement policy, naming the hall to Nelson Gardabois Memorial Hall, passing zero tolerance and external meeting policies, and staffing matters, including contracting Bianca for the CJ and VS position. Council members raised concerns about fire crew liability, staff using work vehicles, and students missing school for work.

The meeting included discussions on various topics such as the RCMP report, SAO report, finance report, old business including website updates and server funding, and new business including the appointment of Chief as Mayor, Finance Committee and CMO Access, SAO Position, Legal HR Support Proposal, Hockey Rink, and Risk-Assessment Proposal. Council also addressed issues and concerns, including flight options in the community. The finance report covered topics such as linking a business account to a SIN number, VTA, NLA, CPI and Gas Tax, and a new contract for the director of finance.

The council discussed the RCMP's monthly report for Fort Good Hope. They considered extending the term of office for Chief and Council from two to three years and potentially departing from MACA, deciding to hold a plebiscite concurrently with the 2025 general election. The council appointed a Returning Officer for the election. They also discussed the SAO position and matters related to a community member's request for a character reference, Frosty Squirrel, hiring committee, risk-based assessment, community plan, food bank, AGM, and emergency plan. Further discussions covered legal parameters of lots, the need for a road sign, hiring a special by-law officer to address loose dogs, remediation of the previous school building site, defining the wellness coordinator position, and the need for road watering.
