Chaffey Joint Union High School District

The Board of Trustees met to discuss and take action on several items including the adoption of the 2026-2027 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), the 2026-2027 Local Control Funding Formula Budget Overview for Parents, and the 2026-2027 District Budget. The Board also reviewed the 2026-2027 Local Indicator Report and approved revisions to Board Policy 6210 concerning graduation requirements, as well as revisions to policies regarding the Committee on Assignment and professional adult/student boundaries.

The board meeting agenda included several key topics: recognizing athletic achievements, compensation for board member absence, ratification of league representatives, and renaming a high school building. Instructional services topics featured public hearings on the Local Control and Accountability Plan and budget, review and adoption of board policies, textbook and course adoptions, and various memorandums of understanding. Personnel services covered retirements, resignations, salary schedules, and the adoption of resolutions concerning educator qualifications. Business services included budget discussions, authorizations to piggyback on district contracts, contract awards for maintenance and supply services, and the acceptance of donations. Closed session matters involved student discipline, personnel discipline, and litigation updates.

The board meeting included recognition of student military academy appointees, various staff retirements, community service, and classified and certificated special services. Resolutions were adopted designating Classified School Employee Week, National Speech Pathologist Day, Day of the Teacher, and National Mental Health Awareness Month. The board accepted the Williams Settlement third quarter report and various textbook adoptions. Other key actions included authorizing service agreements with Aeries Software, Cal-Pass Plus, and several universities, as well as accepting a grant award for the Computer Science program. The board approved various student travel requests, personnel actions including resignations and reassignments, construction contracts for athletic field improvements and building modernization, and various business service items including equipment purchases and donations.
