Borough of Longport

The governing body addressed the award of a license for beach vending operations for the 2024 Beach season. The Borough of Longport is obligated to pay the Longport Board of Education $128,961.70 in ten equal installments for a total of $1,289,617.00 on August 15, 2024, and on the 1st of every month thereafter until May 1, 2025.

The resolution opposes the proposed "Protecting Against Climate Threat (PACT)/Resilient Environments and Landscape (REAL)" rules, citing concerns about the impact on affordable housing, environmental equity, economic development, and potential flood insurance requirements for homeowners.
