Borough of Island Heights

The Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council involved public hearings and proposed adoptions for three ordinances. Ordinance 2025-15 concerned granting a renewal of municipal consent to Comcast for its cable television system, which was adopted. Ordinance 2025-16 proposed repealing and replacing Chapter 4-8 of the Municipal Code concerning trailer parking on Borough Streets, including definitions and parking restrictions for commercial, boat, recreational, and utility trailers; this was also adopted. Departmental reports highlighted accomplishments in Public Works, such as road paving and water meter installation progress, and commendations for the Police Department's accreditation renewal and response efforts. The Mayor concluded seven years of service.
