Atlanta Metropolitan State College

The inaugural meeting of the Atlanta Metropolitan State College Retirees Association (AMSCRA) included summaries of recent progress and milestones at AMSC, updates on changes in the benefits program for retirees, specifically addressing the transition to a new agency for managing benefits, and the election of officers for the association.

The Atlanta Metropolitan College Information Technology Strategic Roadmap focuses on four strategic goals: increasing customer focus through enhanced communication and improved service delivery; ensuring continuous innovation by upgrading technology resources and implementing emerging technologies; expanding reliable and secure access to information and services by addressing access barriers and implementing robust security measures; and effectively planning and managing IT operations by optimizing resources, providing professional development, recruiting qualified staff, and establishing objective decision-making criteria. The plan aims to empower students, faculty, and staff through a robust and secure IT infrastructure.

The 2025-2030 Strategic Plan for Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC) focuses on engaging minds and advancing the community. The plan outlines four strategic pillars: affirming the college's identity and telling its story, preparing students and adding value, engaging the community and developing partnerships, and recruiting, developing, rewarding, and retaining talent. Key goals include increasing enrollment to 3,000 students by 2030, enhancing marketing and public relations, promoting student mobility and preparedness, expanding workforce development opportunities, and fostering a positive and collaborative environment for faculty and staff.
