The board discussed facilities, board development, promotion and graduation arrangements, budget development, board onboarding, and enrollment updates. Action items addressed included the renewal of the Executive Director's contract, the approval of several board policies regarding academic calendars, public solicitations on school grounds, registration of visitors and guests, and an immigration enforcement policy.

The board discussed the Director's report covering facilities, enrollment projections, staffing, and upcoming events. Financial and enrollment reports were presented, detailing current student numbers, attendance, and chronic absenteeism. Action items included the approval of updates to the Family Handbook and the review and approval of the Second Interim Budget as required by the Education Code.

The board discussed facilities updates regarding septic engineering design and HVAC maintenance, a charter update involving mission and vision statements, and staffing requirements for various roles. Additionally, the meeting covered an enrollment report, LCAP funding survey results, and LCAP planning discussions. Action items included the review and approval of an independent audit, corrective actions from audit findings, middle school curriculum adoption, and an updated salary schedule.

The agenda for the meeting included approval of the Board Agenda, public comment, and consent agenda items, including the Board Minutes for the 1/12/26 meeting. Discussion items covered the Director's Report, which included updates on Marketing (Facebook, Spotify, Nextdoor, Roku TV, and Cinemark advertising performance), Facilities (modular building costs and septic/water issues), Enrollment projections (26/27), and the Independent Audit status. The Financial Report and Enrollment Report were also presented. Action items focused on approving adjustments to the academic calendars to shorten the school day while adding academic days, adjusting the Certificated I and II salary schedules to accommodate the calendar changes, and approving the 2026 LCAP Mid-Year Monitoring Report for the 2025-26 LCAP. A closed session was scheduled to discuss public employee discipline, dismissal, or release.

The AeroSTEM Academy's mission is to prepare students for college and career opportunities through a deeply integrated STEM curriculum, focusing on aerospace and engineering.
