Description: 24-hour radio dispatch services for its Federal Wildlife Officers who patrol throughout the state of Illinois. Currently our officers use dispatch services provided by the Illinois State Police (ILSP) through the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT).(Describe the requirement and any special circumstances pertaining to this acquisition.). Although local Sheriff’s Offices provide county dispatching to Federal Wildlife Officers, these services are not often 7 days per week and 24 hours per day. Local dispatching services also are county-only, whereas Federal Wildlife Officers require multi-county voice dispatching during each shift. The DoIT and ILSP dispatching service is the only service identified that is capable of providing real-time service in the events of emergencies in the field. Dispatchers with the DoIT work directly with the IL State Police command system and have direct communication with Emergency Services, Sheriff’s Offices, and multiple local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Utilizing this state dispatch system provides immediate real-time information for officers working in the field. They provide vehicle registration information, driver’s license information, criminal history checks, active arrest warrant information, and alert officers when dealing with suspect’s who have criminal histories or violent tendencies. This system is used by multiple Federal Wildlife Officers who can also directly communicate with each other while in the field, from multiple geographic locations that are often hundreds of miles apart. This system also is used by multiple state police law enforcement officials who can monitor radio traffic real-time by Federal Wildlife Officers when they are conducting field enforcement operations.
