Winchester - North Adams Regional WWTP

Description: Project will replace the existing wwtp and the new wwtp will be constructed at the same site. The new wwtp will have an average daily design flow (addf) of 0.25 mgd, maximum daily flow (mdf) of 0.75 mgd and peak hourly flow (phf) of 1.0 mgd. The increase in design flow will not increase discharge loadings. The new wwtp project includes the construction of the site for the new plant, construction of a new screen building, process tanks and digester tanks for the activated sludge process and digestion equipment, and an ultra-violet (uv) disinfection system. The project also includes a new service building, which will house sludge dewatering equipment, chemical feed equipment, a blower room, a sludge storage room, a workshop and an electrical room.
