Description: The improvements proposed at the plant include the installation of pressurized iron and manganese filtration system with GreenSand+ media, the installation of a Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) adsorption system for removal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination, and a complete filter backwash wastewater handling and discharge system. The upgrades shall be installed with all process and potable water and sanitary piping, valves, and appurtenances, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and connections to the existing system. The improvements shall also include the construction of a new CMU masonry building, and all associated structural improvements necessary to support the structures.

Work includes split treatment modifications; includes, but is not limited to, performing a live tap of two 24" water lines, installing 6" ductile iron pipe, fittings, such as tees, elbows, reducers and valves, and a 6" magnetic flow meter. Contractor shall also install two centrifugal pumps, with a variable frequency drive for each pump. Contractor shall complete all electrical work for the variable frequency drives and pumps, including installing conduits, high voltage wires, and communication cables, as well as any other necessary work.
