Water Mist Fire Suppression System

Description: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, within the Department of Commerce, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with JAG Alaska Inc. to install a localized water mist fire suppression system aboard the NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson. The work includes system design and installation, piping integration with three ship service diesel generators and freshwater tanks, electrical connection to the generators’ emergency bus, fire-alarm-system integration, and full-system testing. The work will support the vessel’s midlife repair in Ketchikan, Alaska, and the notice is designated as a total small-business set-aside.
