The Kanawha County Regional Development Authority (KCRDA) is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of the Leatherwood Water Line Extension in Kanawha County, West Virginia. The project consists of two contracts: Contract A includes approximately 31,000 linear feet of 8-inch, 6-inch, and 2-inch water line, approximately 1,600 LF of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) river and stream crossings, and approximately 61 new service connections, while Contract B includes approximately 33,000 LF of water line and approximately 28 new service connections. The contract has a 335-calendar-day construction time limit for substantial completion of Base Bid work and 365 calendar days for final completion, with liquidated damages set at $750.00 per day, and a mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the KCRDA office.
