Implementation of a pollinator garden.
AvailableRelease: Dec 4, 2025
Close: Jan 14, 2026
Works includes garden hub construction.
AvailableThis project consists of, but is not limited to: All existing galvanized or substandard PVC water lines serving the Park will be replaced with equal or larger diameter HDPE piping with improved hydraulic characteristics. The service line to the Upper Toilet Building, which runs cross-country including an exposed stream crossing and some exposed piping sections will be rerouted to follow road corridors with standard seasonal system depth of burial and enhanced ease of access. The existing water service lines to the Residence/Contact Station/Bathroom building and on to the lower camping loop will be replaced by a dedicated water line across the large lawn area, with curb stopped service into the Bathroom, then follow up and around the camping loop road to service the lowest water stand. An additional service will run from the Pumphouse over to another Water Stand on the entry road. Service to the Residence will be via existing well supply only. Sleeving will be provided at paved road crossings. Existing galvanized lines will be removed if new piping is running in historical trenchline or cut/capped at designated areas and abandoned in place. A main concrete valve pit will be provided at the piping split location at the top of the road from the Pumphouse, with individual spur line valve control to improve operator flexibility. In the Pumphouse, a redundant distribution system booster pump, alternating control panel and new well initiation float system will be added providing greater reliability. Associated well pump controls will be added at the Upper Electric pedestal near the drilled well. Existing underground or overhead electric service to the Rangers House, Toilet Building 1, the Pumphouse, the Maintenance Building and the Nature Center will be replaced with new underground service in conduit, run in common trench with water where shown. Upgrades will include new service panels and appurtenances at the Pumphouse and Upper Power Pedestal and rewiring at the main power pedestal at PP 99-7. Where indicated, conduit for communication service will also be placed in common trench with water and/or electric. The Pumphouse scope of work includes upgrades to all electric/control circuits to accommodate new equipment needs.
