Transformer Refurbishment

Description: The U.S. Department of Energy, through the Western Area Power Administration’s Western Sierra Nevada Region, is soliciting offers for Corning KY3A Transformer Refurbishment. The contractor must furnish personnel, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and related services to refurbish the KY3A transformer in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. The work is to be performed at Corning Power Plant in Red Bluff, California, from October 1 through October 31, 2026, and offers are due September 3, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
