TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OPPORTUNITY: Reversible Androgynous Mechanical Fastener (TOP2-310)

Description: NASA’s Technology Transfer Program is soliciting license applications from companies interested in commercializing, manufacturing, and marketing its Reversible Androgynous Mechanical Fastener (TOP2-310), with rights potentially exclusive or nonexclusive and limited to specific fields of use. Developed at NASA Ames Research Center, the fastener tolerates misalignment during robotic actuation and provides a lightweight, high-strength, reversible connection for robotic assembly of reconfigurable structures. Applications are due through NASA’s ATLAS system by August 10, 2027; NASA provides no funding for the potential licenses, and no follow-on procurement is expected.
