Rocket Experimentation for Global Agile Logistics (REGAL)
The Air Force Research Laboratory posted an Advanced Research Announcement (ARA) titled Rocket Experimentation for Global Agile Logistics (REGAL) to explore the use of commercially-advertised rocket launch systems for rapid point-to-point space transportation and agile global logistics. The program’s objective is to assess commercial point-to-point capabilities for DoD logistics with the aim of fielding a service-like capability able to deliver DoD cargo anywhere on the planet in under one hour; expected missions include emergency resupply, humanitarian and disaster relief, and routine transport to select DoD ports. The ARA itself does not solicit proposals; individual Calls for Proposals (two initial Calls are identified) will be issued against the ARA, and the announcement remains open until 1 July 2027.
