NRCS Emergency Watershed Program Streambank Stabilization and Debris Removal Project
This project involves streambank stabilization and debris removal at five (5) residential properties. As a result of recent storms, the Town of Richmond has been working with the US Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) through the Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWP) to help respond to flood damages resulting in debris clogged waterways, unstable streambanks, and excessive erosion. This project intends to stabilize streambanks and remove debris from stream locations at five (5) residential properties which will be achieved by removing excess debris and gravel and installing riprap to stabilize the channel and streambanks.
