Stoplog Replacement and Dewatering Project

Description: The Ministry of Natural Resources (Ontario), through the Shared Services Bureau, is soliciting bids for a Stoplog Replacement and Dewatering Project at five dams located in the Sudbury District of Ontario. The Contractor must design, supply and manage a temporary flow control system (which may include bulkheads or floating bulkheads) to support stoplog replacement at the dam sites. A Professional Engineer must prepare sealed shop drawings following site visits, and work is scheduled to take place between July 16 and August 31, 2026.

Southerly Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station (STDPS) Project
General, the work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for construction of the following work: construct the STDPS on the mining site of the Southerly tunnel after the tunnel contractor demobilizes from that site. Complete the build-out of the mining shaft to serve as the pump station's wet well. Construct an at-grade building above the wet well to house the pump station's support systems. Connect the pump station's discharge to an existing flow drop structure. Complete the construction and outfitting of facilities remote from STDPS that were constructed under the Southerly Tunnel and consolidation (SOTC) and Kingsbury run consolidation sewer (KRCS) projects; some of NEORSD's existing facilities that predate these projects also require modification. Commission the Southerly Tunnel system and turn over a fully functional system to the NEORSD.

Sludge Dewatering Building Carbon Media Replacement At South Shore Water Reclamation Facility
Project contemplated consists of removal and replacement of the carbon media, carbon bed support packing, and carbon retention baskets in Odor Control Units 1, 2, and 3 in Building 359 at South Shore Water Reclamation Facility (“SSWRF”). Additional work will include replacement of the flex boots on each of the three odor control units which connect the blower duct to the tank duct and installation of a carbon saturation indicator on each odor control unit.
