The City of Elgin is soliciting sealed bids for the Wing Park Renovation, with bids due October 28, 2026. Work includes demolishing existing paths, concrete, playground surfacing and equipment, and the restroom building, then constructing new paths, a playground, site furniture, parking, a restroom building, sport court surfacing, fencing, landscaping, and utility improvements. The project is financed in part through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources’ Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development grant program, and a mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 8, 2026, at Wing Park.

The project will renovate the current 8,450gsf Firestone Lab to update and modernize the lab into a modern clinical research facility. The project includes two major components: Exam/Diagnostic/Research Laboratory and Office/Workstation spaces. A new client entry and waiting room will serve as a new front door to the space and provide direct access to the exam and diagnostic rooms.
