Summary
The University of Washington is seeking a vendor to design, fabricate, and deliver a custom shipboard A-Frame system for marine operations. The system will be used by the Applied Physics Laboratory (APL-UW) at the South TOTO Acoustic Measurement Facility (STAFAC), a U.S. Navy underwater range, to deploy and recover equipment weighing up to 20 short tons. The contract covers one complete A-Frame launch-and-recovery system including structural components, two hydraulic winches, two hydraulic cylinders, a hydraulic power unit, hydraulic control system, deck winch, hydraulic hoses, and all required materials, fabrication, assembly, finishing, inspection, testing, documentation, packaging, and delivery services.
