Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS hereby is given that Bids are invited and will be received as set forth below. 1. OWNER: Township of Brick 2. WORK TITLE: ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS TO CHANNEL DRIVE 3. WORK SITES: Channel Drive 4. WORK DESCRIPTION: 5. The project generally consists of reconstruction and elevation of Channel Drive, within the Township of Brick. Approximate construction quantities in this project include 1,700 SY of HMA milling, 370 CY of excavation, 620 TN of hot mix asphalt, 1,680 LF of concrete curb, 9 concrete stormwater inlets, 500 LF of 10" ductile iron pipe, restoration, and other associated work. 6. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents may be examined and/or purchased at $15.00 per set, Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., prevailing time, at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting located at 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, NJ 08723. Cash is accepted and all checks are to be made out to the "Township of Brick." 8. USE OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents are available solely for the purpose of obtaining Bids and not to confer a license or grant for any other purpose. 9. PRE-BID MEETING: None 10. BID GUARANTEE: Bid Guarantee is required in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount indicated in the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). 11. CONSENT OF SURETY: A certificate is required from a surety company stating that it will provide bonds in the form and amounts as stated in the Contract Documents. 12. SUBMISSION OF BIDS: Bids shall be placed in sealed envelopes and must be received by Owner prior to the Date and Time indicated for Public Bid Opening and Reading in Paragraph #12. No Bids will be received after the indicated Date and Time. STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS: Bidders are required to comply with all applicable Laws and Regulations including the N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action) P.L. 1999, C.238 (Public Works Contractor Registration), P.L. 1963, C.150 (Prevailing Wages), and P.L. 2004, C.57 P.L. 2009 C.315 (New Jersey Business Registration Requirements). 15. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: During the performance of this contract the Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety. 16. OWNER'S RIGHTS: The Township reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Township reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. 17. BID WITHDRAWAL: The Bidder shall comply with the statutory requirements set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 regarding bid withdrawal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Township of Brick, New Jersey for all proceedings, suits or actions of any kind of description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work. 18. REJECTION OF BIDS: Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any immaterial defect or informality in any Bid, if deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
