Montgomery Bell SP Road Improvement
The contractor shall carefully remove the existing stone and mortar headwall. Existing stone shall be salvaged, cleaned as necessary, protected from damage, and stockpiled onsite for reuse in the construction of the new headwall. This includes the removal of three (3) stop signs and one (1) stone directional sign. 2) the contractor shall excavate and prep the area for concrete footers where the headwall will be moved inward to compensate for the widening of the road. 3) the contractor shall remove the existing stone and mortar directional sign, salvage all reusable stone, and dispose of the existing wood sign and debris that’s not being repurposed. 4) the contractor shall remove the designated pavement and all vegetation and unsuitable material in the vicinity necessary to facilitate the widening of the road. The contractor may utilize suitable excavated spoils on-site for grading and shaping operations where approved and shall dispose of excess excavated material off-site. Headwall and Culvert Rehab; Concrete Curb Installation; Asphalt Roadway Additions; Roadway Milling and Overlay; Riprap Drainage Installation; Directional Signage.
