Summary
The County of Alameda, through its General Services Agency–Procurement division, is soliciting proposals to provide forensic toxicology testing services to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office Coroner's Bureau. The selected contractor will test bodily fluids (blood, urine, bile, vitreous, gastric contents) and tissues (liver, brain, spleen, muscle) from decedents to detect illicit chemicals, drugs, and poisons, comply with California regulations for alcohol analysis, and participate in external proficiency testing programs. The County intends to award a three-year contract, with an option to renew for two additional years, to the most responsive and responsible bidder, with the contract scheduled to begin on January 1, 2027.
