Replace Boilers and Steam Piping Central Heating Plant
The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is soliciting bids to replace two 500 HP high-pressure steam firetube boilers and upgrade the campus steam and heating distribution systems at the SUNY Morrisville central heating plant, including replacement of direct-buried steam piping and conversion of several buildings from steam to low-temperature water service. Plans will be available through the plan distributor and a project walk-through / pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 2026-07-15; bidders must meet SUCF qualification and submission requirements and comply with MWBE/SDVOB goals. Replace Boilers and Steam Piping Central Heating Plant
Furnishing and installing two new 500 hp high-pressure steam firetube boilers to replace the existing boilers in the heating plant, along with upgrades to the campus steam and heating distribution systems. Work includes replacement of steam distribution piping serving bicknell hall, east hall, shannon hall, and galbreath hall with new direct-buried steam piping; and replacement of existing steam manhole mh-1. The project also includes conversion of the distribution system serving oneida hall, mohawk hall, and cayuga hall from steam to direct-buried lowtemperature water (ltw) service, including installation of an ltw heat exchanger, distribution pump, and associated direct-buried ltw piping originating at galbreath hall.
